Osoji Day

Image
Osoji in Japanese means cleaning.  Today we cleaned the church, a third Sunday event.  Everyone  can take a mop, a floor wipe sheet or a vacuum to clean the place we go for our Sunday mass.   It finishes very quickly when more people try to spare some time in the volunteer chore.  It was a bit special today as teenager Sunny and Alek participated.  Sitting at their back made me see where they were going after the mass, I asked them to do some cleaning first, with heavy face they did!  I felt thankful to the Lord that they observe the fourth commandment and I hope forever they will.   It seems like lesser people their age can be told to clean in public and use the Sunday morning to attend the Holy Mass.  They gave some true joy to their mother today.

Time is Short I have decided to write down about my life.  Every life is special; short, long, sophisticated, simple, active, stagnant, known, unheard of...to think that someday it will end makes me want to fill it with days that will bring me to a happy end.  Why only now? it must be the mirror, when I look at it, the same person I look at everyday shows changes, giving me the thought of the majestic sunset inevitably finishing a day.  If death can be compared to sunset, it is not grim anymore.  It will come and it is, glorious!
